2013 Billboard Music Nominees: One Year You’re In, The Next You’re Out

LAST YEAR’S BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS nominees included nods to usual suspects such as Adele, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry for their domination of pop music charts.

But 2013 BBMAs recognizes a new round of superstar artists vying for the Billboard throne. Taylor Swift, Maroon 5 and Fun. lead 2013’s potential winners, snaring nominations in a total of 11 categories. And both Psy and Baauer crash the party for their epic “booty poppin” hits, Gangnam Style and Harlem Shake respectively, earning nods as Top Streaming Artists.

Justin Bieber Outrages Some For Hoping Anne Frank “Belieber”

Justin Bieber’s European leg of the Believe tour hit it’s latest bump in the road.

The star’s latest publicity snag occurred when The Anne Frank House posted on its official Facebook page that Bieber paid the historic site a visit.

It wasn’t his visit — which was hailed — but Bieber’s strangely self-obsessed focus that he wrote in the museum’s guestbook:

“Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber,” he wrote.

JUSTIN BIEBER IS RECOVERING AFTER COLLAPSING BACKSTAGE at his Thursday concert at London’s O2 arena.

“Getting better,” Bieber later posted on Twitter. “Thanks for everyone pulling me thru tonight. Best fans in the world. Figuring out what happened. Thanks for the love.” He also generously shared a photo on Instagram of him reclining in the hospital bed with the note: “Gettin better listening to Janice [sic] Joplin.”

TMZ reported that Bieber felt woozy during his set and collapsed backstage, where he was treated with oxygen.

Hawaii Senates Approves ‘Steven Tyler Act’ Banning Pap Shots In ‘Private Moments’

STEVEN TYLER MAY SOON leave another mark on pop culture beyond playing heavy metal and looking lecherously at American Idol wannabes: In an attempt to protect celebrities from intrusive paparazzi, the Hawaii state Senate passed the “Steven Tyler Act” Tuesday.

The Aerosmith singer asked Sen. Kalani English to support the legislation after paparazzi shot invasive photographs of him and his girlfriend near his beach home in Maui, subsequently “causing family drama” and making readers’ eyes bleed. Twenty-three of Hawaii’s 25 Senate members voted in favor of the bill, which makes it illegal to take photos or videos of people in private moments.

TODAY’S JUSTIN BIEBER’S 19TH BIRTHDAY, WHICH MAKES us want to pinch his cheeks and pull up his pants. Following his last show as an 18-year-older in Birmingham, England, last night, paps caught the Biebs returning to his London hotel shirtless, buff and saggy-bottomed. Once changed and freshened, the Baby singer headed out to the after-hours club, BLC, to get a jump on celebrating. He was surrounded by a bevy of beliebers, including alleged new girfriend, aspiring singer/model Ella-Paige Roberts-Clarke. The partygoers wrapped the night about 6:30am after hitting up a Lebanese eatery for kabobs.
