New Jersey’s Sodom — Atlantic City — Goes Under Water
By Elizabeth C.
IT’S A STORM OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS, SO IT ONLY MAKES SENSE THAT THE STAIN known as Atlantic City gets a good scrubdown.
“The city’s basically flooded,” Willie Glass, the city’s public safety director, reportedly said. “Most of the city is underwater.” Part of the city’s historic Atlantic City Boardwalk has been washed away and the worst is yet to come.
The city’s casinos were closed Sunday in anticipation of the storm, only the fourth time in 34 years. The storm’s center is expected to hit land in South Jersey sometime this evening. Already 8,000 New Jerseyans are reportedly without power.
With forecasters predicting New York City could feel the brunt of Hurricane Sandy, the New York Stock Exchange stayed shuttered and the city’s subway system was closed.

Atlantic City would not be missed if washed away completely
Can’t say I disagree Brinsley. The last time I was on the boardwalk it was beyond scary.
