IT’S NOT YOU — IT’S HIM

Matt Damon Tells BET: Obama Dumped Me
By Elizabeth Coady
TRUST US, MATT DAMON, YOU’LL LOOK BACK ONE DAY AND BE GLAD THAT HE DUMPED YOU.
In an interview with BET, the Hollywood A-lister confessed that Obama has dumped him. “He broke up with me,” Damon told the publication. “we no longer see eye-to-eye,” he added.
But the star of Elysium, a sci-fi flick about a future dystopia where the rich rule, rightly rationalizes why that’s probably not such a bad thing.
“There are a lot of things that I really question – the legality of the drone strikes, these NSA revelations,” Damon said. “Jimmy Carter came out and said we don’t live in a democracy. That’s a little intense when an ex-president says that. So you now, [Obama’s] got some explaining to do, particularly for a constitutional law professor.”
Damon’s comments are just the latest salvo he’s sent in the president’s direction. Last week during an interview with The Guardian, the actor suggested that Obama “overcompensates” for not having served in the military.
But as Politico points out, Obama gives as good as he gets: During the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in 2011, Obama joked, “Matt Damon said he was disappointed in my performance. Well, Matt, I just saw ‘The Adjustment Bureau,’ so right back atcha, buddy!”
Here’s my question: when is Damon’s buddy George Clooney going to wise up.
