SENTIMENTAL HOGWASH

Lassoing The Moon
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS. We’re a little distracted here at Crabby Golightly celebrating the holidays so we’ll be posting at an abbreviated level for the next few days. But we’re wishing that each and every one of you get what you wish for this holiday season. And that even those whose lives aren’t rich with friendship or family at this very moment can find meaning in the gift of life.
Pardon me for getting sickly sentimental for a minute. My hope is that those among you whose lives are overflowing with good cheer and riches keep the less fortunate in mind, and perhaps share a bit with those in need. You’ll make yourself feel even better in the process.
And for those of you who feel alone today (and I’ve been there, too), I’ve always found that looking outside myself and recognizing that simple gestures can help brighten darkt moments. There is always someone else suffering or feeling alone as you, and sometimes all it takes to change this is a phone call, a friendly wave, the cranking up of a Christmas song.
People make fun of corny gestures, but they are also pretty good at lifting moods.
If I could, I would lasso you all the moon. And I apologize if I’m talking too much.
