AN INDIAN MAN WHO RAN A credit card cloning ring required criminal partners to participate in orgies to keep the PoPo away.
Vikas Yadav would recruit partners for his electronic card cloning ring in sadomasochistic sex chat rooms, according to Athens-Clarke, Ga. police Detective Beverly Russell.
The way “for [recruits] to get into the inner sanctum of the group was to have sex with him and others, and be videoed doing it,” Det. Russell told the The Athens Banner-Herald. “That was to protect himself, to keep cops from infiltrating his group.”
Yadav arrived in the U.S. to earn a master’s degree at the University of Georgia’s College of Pharmacy in 2004 but was kicked out the doctoral program on charges of plagiarism. He ended up working at a liquor store where he installed a keylogger on the register to steal customers’ credit card numbers and PINS. He would then withdrawal money from their accounts or buy merchandise to flip for cash.
Yadav ws arrested in August 2008 after a Walmart employee notified police of a “suspicious transaction.” He was arrested along with three accomplices and Yadav was deported back to India in 2010.
Two accomplices who pleaded guilty to federal charges confirmed to investigators that Yadav recruited through sex sites and then videotaped new recruits having sex.
“Anyone who wanted in with (Yadav) would have to have three-way sex, either with other men or women, but Vikas had to be involved and he would record it all and save the recordings so he could watch it on his big flatscreen TV,” Russell told the paper. She called it “one of the most bizarre turns in any case I’ve ever come across.”
