PROVING THE WRONG POINT

Beyoncé Admits Lip Syncing One Of Her ‘Proudest Moments’
By Elizabeth C.
ANY QUESTIONS?
Well, as a matter of fact Beyoncé, yes: Why didn’t you do that at the Inauguration?
Beyoncé opened a press conference Friday ostensibly about her upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance with a rousing (bordering on overwrought) two-minute rendition of the national anthem. After the applause from the assembled throng quieted down, she opened the Q&A with ‘Any questions?’ As if her performance would quiet questions surrounding why she lip synced her performance at Obama’s second inauguration.
You see, Bey tells us, “I am a perfectionist. One thing about me. I practice until my feet bleed. And I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra. It was a live television show and a very very emotional show for me, one of my proudest moments. And due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking a risk. It was about the president and the inauguration and I wanted to make him and the country proud. So I decided to sign along with my recorded track, which is very common in the music industry. And I’m very proud of my performance.”
So instead she practiced harder and sang her best for a press conference? Is anyone as confused as me?
