This is Maymo, YouTube sensation and proud “lemon beagle” pushing his baby sis in a miniature supermarket cart to the playground. Maymo is obviously a very proud pooch as his wagging tale practically propels the cart by itself.
The sister-bro team travel down sidewalks, waterfronts and even train tracks on their way to a romp that includes dives down a sliding board and twists on a merry-go-round. It’s adorakable, save for the poor modeling of walking on railroad tracks.
New studies tell us that Maymo must be one secure pooch to perform so happily for his human parents. Researchers from Vetmeduni’s Messerli Research Institute found that dogs are much like small children: they are more socially confident when they’re owners are nearby.
“One of the things that really surprised us is that adult dogs behave towards their caregivers like human children do,” said the study’s author Lisa Horn.
You know what surprises me? That anybody with vision doesn’t know this already.
