Woman Sues McDonald’s For Turning Her Into Prostitute

Shelley Lynn, a former prostitute and employee of the Las Vegas Chicken Ranch brothel, has realized 20 years later that working for McDonald’s might not ‘super size’ her bank account. Lynn claims in a federal court complaint that the fast food chain played a large role in her adding ‘sausage burritos’ to her life by becoming a sex worker.
Lynn is suing McDonald’s along with her ex-husband whoh owned the local McDonald’s franchise where she worked as a cashier. The complaint alleges Handley “emotionally and psychologically” coerced Lynn into prostitution in part because McDonald’s paid her minimum wage, offered a poor health care plans and no benefits, and had no system for filing grievances against employers who abused their power.
“[McDonald’s] failed to properly supervise and train Handley, as a direct result of which Handley used his position as an employer and conspired with his corporation Ivernia to coerce and bribe two of Ivernia’s employees to make false statements against Lynn during Handley’s dissolution and to suppress relevant evidence he had disclosed about himself,” the complaint read. “Handley also engaged in pimping operations out of the McDonald’s franchises he owned.”
So to sum up in English, Lynn gave up taking orders for ‘Happy Meals’ and started getting ‘mcbusy’ selling happy endings because her manager was a pimp. No wonder Ronald McDonald always has a smile on his face!
Because this is America, Lynn is seeking lost wages as well as a number of damages, according to the Consumerist. Does Lynn “deserve a break” today when the average hourly pay for McDonald’s crew members only averages $7. 64 an hour which equals $15,000 a year?
McDonalds did not return calls to the media as they are probably speechless like I am.

Making minimum wage is a fact of life, not a reason to become a prostitute. Girls can make a lot of money selling themselves in Vegas but don’t say I worked at McDonalds and therefore I had to become a prostitute. By this woman’s reasoning all minimum wage workers would be able to sue their employers for not paying them enough including WalMart, Payless Shoes, all the fast food chains, and most of the retail shops in the state. This lady is just looking for an easy ride in a society that loves to blame others instead of taking responsibility for your own actions.
