Speculation over John Travolta’s sexuality has become a favorite pastime on the Internet, where netizens claim it’s an open secret in Hollywood that the actor likes the p.

The constant rejoinder that “another ludicrous lawsuit with inane claims” reminds us all of how many have come before. (For those keeping track, three and counting.)
Travolta dared to appear at Oliver Stone’s Savages premiere in Los Angeles at which he was snapped placing an “awkward smooch” on the lips of his wife Kelly Preston. “He continued to be openly affectionate with her at the party, as she flanked him throughout the course of the evening,” the Los Angeles Times reported.
Open speculation about why Preston stays with Travolta is increasing. “If there is any truth to the rumors of John’s sexual escapades, why would Kelly stay with him?,” poses the gossip blog HaveUHeard. “Do you think she really loves him or is it a marriage of convenience?”
The beautiful Preston has been married to Travolta since 1991. The two met in 1987 while filming the movie The Experts, according to Wikipedia. But media allegations that Travolta was gay have inpinged on the couple’s relationship for years, surfacing way back in 1990, even before the two were married. And detailed allegations about his habit of cruising gay bath houses have been around for years, long before three masseurs filed suit this year claiming the actor accosted them when he was their client.
Robert Randolph, who detailed Travolta’s sexual extracurricular activities in You’ll Never Spa In This Town Again, told the National Enquirer: “I believe the marriage is a total fraud because John is totally into guys and has been having sex with them behind Kelly’s back for years….John’s a cheating dog. It’s just been wrong, because his wife seems like such a sweet woman.”
The incessant reports led Preston to confront Travolta about his sexuality in 2010, according to another Enquirer report:
“A distraught Kelly is begging him, ‘John just tell me the truth,’” revealed a pal of the star. “Having another child was their way of holding their marriage together after the tragedy… but now these revelations from Carrie have brought back her worst fears, so she’s begging John to tell her once and for all whether he’s gay or not. John has always worried that coming out would affect his image and cost him parts.”The mounting pressure on Travolta to tell all about his sexuality could destroy his family’s joy. Confided the star’s pal: “Privately, he’s been telling friends he’s going to leave it to people to believe what they want to believe.”
So if John is truly gay — or bi — why would Kelly stay? There’s always the possibility that the two dearly love one another and that sex outside the marriage doesn’t matter. But the more logical conclusion is that Preston signed a prenup agreement that limits what she would get in the event of divorce.
Many ordinary people who’ve never seen obscene wealth up close can’t comprehend sacrificing their souls for the luxury and power that money affords. But if you’re Travolta’s wife, used to flying in personal jets to luxury residences in exotic locations, you might think twice — or a dozen — or a hundred times — before you left the relationship.
