The Pauly D Project: Happy Tools For The Military
WHO KNEW THE TROOPS LOVED HOUSE MUSIC? On Thursday’s Pauly D Project, Pauly gets invited to put on a show at a military base camp, and in a rare moment in Jersey Shore-related history, I did not feel bad about my television watching choices.
The night before the military show, the boys go to a Moroccan restaurant, where Jerry gets so into his belly-dancing that he actually takes his shirt off. It may have been a little hard to watch, but you gotta give the credit for his, uh, confidence. “Ugh, that’s so gross. I don’t know what he’s thinking,” says Pauly, “but I now officially cannot eat.”
The gang is asked to come visit some of the U.S. troops, and they make a day out of it by heading to the base early to do some training exercises. The boys are far from successful, and watching Jerry try to jump over a wall is embarrassing. But they all looked they were having so much fun, which was kind if adorable.
After their training montage, the guys visit some families on the base and see how they live. The families are so happy to see them, and Pauly & Co. are genuinely happy to be there, too. Everyone was just so appreciative of the chance to come to the base that it was almost too cute to handle. Score one for military propaganda.
Although this week was mostly about the guys visiting military families and honoring out troops, we got to get a glimpse of Christina, the girl Pauly basically fell in love with a couple weeks ago. Despite only being on screen for a few seconds, it looks like she’ll be back. Can’t wait to see how, of it, this little tryst continues this season.
