AS IF WE WEREN’T ALREADY JELLI OF GIGGY, he’s brought his posse to Paris on Monday’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and along the way, Kim seems to be slipping into her old ways overseas.
Before crossing the Atlantic, Kim visits Kyle to have a serious talk about Taylor. Last week we heard Taylor sounding less than sober while telling Kyle she was getting into a plane with a stranger she’s “in love” with, not knowing where Kennedy was. First, Kim admires the turtle shells hanging on Kyle’s wall. Once that’s out of the way, it’s time to get down to business. She calls Taylor to let her know she’s worried.
Ken and Giggy, wearing matching sweaters, come outside to play with the swans in the backyard with Lisa. They discuss going to St. Tropez to visit his son Warren and his wife Sue, with whom Lisa used to be best friends before hooking up with her stepson. Despite a rough start, Lisa assures us things aren’t awkward between them.
Kim and Kyle drop by Taylor’s for their sit-down, and Kim addresses her concerns about her drinking. While Kim calmly tells her how worried she is, Taylor gets misty-eyed. She says that it was a miscommunication between her and her mother and the nanny about where Kennedy was the night of the party. But she admits that sometimes drinking helps her forget all the pain in her life for at least a little bit. She seems to appreciate their concern for her, and says she thinks she can stop using alcohol as a crutch, because she needs to be strong for Kennedy.
Yolanda is planning a housewarming party for her ex-husband Mohamed since they’re still close friends. Lisa arrives, and she and Yolanda discuss hanging out in Paris together, since they’ll both be there at the same time. When Brandi gets to the party, Yolanda invites Brandi along for the trip. Three of them high-five each other and giggle over wine.
Not one to pass-up a good time, Kyle accepts Yolanda’s invitation to Paris, as do the other ladies (except Taylor, who decides to stay home with Kennedy). Oh, all the ladies going on vacation together? When has that ever gone wrong? Every time. It goes wrong every time.
Yolanda quietly pulls Taylor aside to ask if there’s any truth to the talk that there’s an issue between them. Taylor says there’s no issue, and Yolanda says that if there is, she can always come to talk to her. In her interview, Taylor says she doesn’t have any problems with Yolanda, but rather it’s her best friend Linda who has a problem with David; Linda Thompson was married to Foster after divorcing Bruce Jenner.)
When they get to St. Tropez, Lisa, Ken, and Giggy enjoy some wine outside with Warren and Sue. Warren looks a bit like a young Richard Branson, and it’s a bit distracting. They all meet up with Warren’s son, Ryan, at the beach. Ugh, it’s so nice there. Thanks, Bravo, for reminding us how awful the weather is right now.
Kim, Kyle, and Mauricio are next to arrive at the airport, and they meet up with Yolanda and Brandi in the lounge. Out of curiosity, Kyle asks Kim about the tricks she had up her sleeve when she was drinking. Kim tells her about how she used to have wine in her coffee cup, but didn’t bother to blow on it to make it seem more believable. Just then Kyle gets a call from an unknown number — it’s Marisa. She sounds deeply upset, tells them that while she and Dean were on their way to the airport, they got news that his dad had passed away.
After that phone call from Marisa, Kyle realizes that everyone can’t keep dwelling on their problems with each other.
The other ladies and Mauricio arrive at their hotel in Paris. They’re all gathered on Yolanda’s balcony to pop open some champagne and take in the view, when Kyle notices something strange: Giggy has wandered into the room. Just Giggy. All by himself in a snazzy new purple sweater. Several moments pass as everyone welcomes the adorable alopecia-stricken dog, and then Ken and Lisa finally enter the room.
Kim is the last one to get to Yolanda’s, and she seems a little loopy. Lisa’s worried. The Kim she’s seeing now isn’t the Kim she’s been seeing these past few months. Well, next week it looks like we get a peak at more erratic behavior.
