THERE'S A SAYING ABOUT A POT AND GETTING OFF IT IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO DO YOUR BUSINESS. And after nine years of dating England's Prince William, Royal girlfriend Kate Middleton surely must be thinking about that colloqualism for marriage.

And so the drumbeat is growing louder that an engagement is imminent between England's heir to the throne and the commoner he met at college.

Last month, reports began leaking out that London's Royal Mint was making an "engagement coin'' only days before the couple arrived and departed from a friend's wedding together. It was the first time in all their years of dating that the two had not traveled in separate cars, and royal watchers are adamant that it's a signal an engagement is imminent.

Now reports have leaked that Middleton's parents were guests at a private shooting party last weekend at the Queen's Scottish estate Balmoral.

"This is the Middletons being taught to be able to join the royals at play,” a source told the Daily Mail, calling the engagement announcement "just a matter of time."
