IF YOU’RE OF A CERTAIN AGE AND GREW UP WITH TV SITCOMS AS YOU FAVORITE BABYSITTER, JIMMY FALLON’S MEDLEY OF TELEVISION THEME SONGS will likely make you misty-eyed this morning.

Fallon was visited by three castmembers from NBC’s new sitcom Guys with Kids when the chatter turned to the slow demise of theme songs. “Theme songs on great sitcoms are like other characters,” muses actor Anthony Anderson, one of the leads in the Fallon-produced show and a regular on Law & Order.

The next thing you know the foursome’s belting out an homage to the classic themes of The Jeffersons, All In The Family, Good Times, Golden Girls, Facts of Life, Sanford & Son, Friends, Full House, Happy Days, Cheers, Three’s Company, The Mary Tyler Moore Show — and more!

It’s enough to make you want to spend all your allowance on old TV favorites on video. (No doubt that’s the network’s diabolical plan.)
