Here’s A Gentle Reminder To Pay Attention To Stray Dogs

THE WORLD’S PROBLEMS CAN FEEL SO OVERWHELMING. Everywhere, corruption is on the rise. The president who sold us transformational hope instead delivered boundless spying. Global warming and deforestation threaten our environment.

If the enormity of our challenges paralyze you, think…small. As in our furry, four-legged friends the dogs.

That’s what two Violeta Caro Pinda and Felipe Carrasco Guzman did. The Chilean college students created this sweet video to inspire us to pay attention to the stray animals in our midst who need care and attention from us. The young women tied balloons to several stray dogs with messages nudging passersby to “Give me love” and “Don’t abandon me.” We don’t know if the dogs got more hugs and treats because of this video, but it’s a reminder of how little it can take to make a difference in the world.
