Father Of Chechen Muslim Killed Accuses FBI Of ‘Execution’

DISTURBING QUESTIONS ARE EMERGING ABOUT THE SHOOTING DEATH OF a Chechen Muslim killed last week while being questioned by the FBI.

Ibragim Todashev, 27, was shot dead whiile being interviewed inside his Orlando apartment May 22 about his possible connnection to a triple murder that occurred in Waltham, Mass. Todashev was an acquaintance of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of two brothers suspected of setting off two bombs during this year’s Boston Marathon, killing three and injuring 264.

Tsarnaev was killed during a shootout with authorities three days after the Bombings, but law enforcement began investigating whether he was connected to the slaying of three men in the Boston suburb on Sept. 11, 2011.

Initially, anonymous law enforcement officials told media sources that Todashev was shot after pulling a sword on an FBI agent.

But that story changed yesterday when Orlando news station WESH and the Washington Post quoted FBI sources saying Todashev “was unarmed” when he was killed.

The revision in the official accounting comes after an Islamic group demanded a federal civil-rights investigation into Todashev’s killing. The Council on American-Islamic Relations’ Florida chapter revealed that Todashev was shot seven times, including once in the head.

“We want to know why it happened. … We want to know what is the truth,” Todashev’s widow, Reniya Manukyan, said at a press conference.

Abdulbaki Todashev, Ibragim’s father, demanded an investigation at a Thursday press conference. “I want justice. I want an investigation,” the senior Todashev said. “They come to your house like bandits, and they shoot you.”

The Washington Post quoted Chechen lawyer Zaurbek Sadakhanov, who called the shooting an “etrajudicial execution.”

“Why was he interrogated three times without a lawyer?,” he said. “Why no recording? Why seven shots? And why should I believe their version? Why do American policemen believe they can do whatever they want?”

FBI officials said that Todashev had just begun tThe FBI says an investigation into the shooting will take months.

In some countries they believe a person is supposed to go through a court of law, before they might get executed. There were 3, well trained, FBI agents against one unarmed guy. Even if he decided to go suicide against 3 armed men, they could have subdued him easily just be outnumbering him in numbers and in weight. If he was really that good, they should have used tasers on him. No, they had to kill him. Shame on FBI for unprofessional handling of this case is best case, for murder in worst case.

Who is Elizabeth “C.”? Real journalists have last names. This appears to be scraped together selectively from internet stories, not an independent or objective piece of journalism. I am skeptical of the FBI accounts but equally skeptical of the version advanced by Chechen extremists.
