AS THE MANHUNT FOR THE SURVIVING SUSPECT IN MONDAY’S BOSTON MARATHON bombing continues, terrorist experts and TV talking heads are repeatedly using the word ‘radicalized’ while speculating on what led to Monday’s bloody crime.
Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, identified as “suspect No 1” in photographs released by the FBI, was killed in a shootout with law enforcement early Friday. Authorities are still combing the suburbs of Boston in search of his 19-year-old brother, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
The two men, Chechen Muslim immigrants to the U.S., are accused of setting off two homemade bombs at the Boston Marathon finish line, killing three and injuring as many as 170.
As the search for the surviving suspect unfolds, on onslaught of media are chasing down details about the backgrounds of the two men, with many former schoolmates, family members and acquaintances expressing utter shock that the Tsarnaev brothers are suspected of such a horrific crime.
